WEB DEVELOPMENT JAMAICA / WEBSITE LAUNCH CHECKLIST
Try the website before you approve it.
Review the customer journey, content, account ownership and recovery arrangements before approving a website for public launch.
Check the real visitor journey.
An enquiry starts a discussion. Scope, pricing and delivery are agreed with The Absurd Company before work begins. Read the actual content, follow navigation and complete the primary task with authorised fictional data.
Check invalid input and a simulated failure as well as the successful path. An on-screen accepted message does not by itself establish receipt in an inbox.
Review content and business details.
Confirm names, contact destinations, service descriptions, permissions for media and the approved quotation or purchase terms. Remove sample data and unsupported claims.
- Unique page titles and a clear main heading.
- Working internal links, contact paths and a useful missing-page response.
- Readable text, labelled fields and keyboard access.
- Privacy notice consistent with the actual submission and storage process.
Confirm account and recovery ownership.
Know who controls domain renewal, hosting, source code and any business-service accounts. Use appropriate access rather than sharing passwords in messages.
Record backup coverage, independent recovery access, the result of a restore test and a rollback procedure. Agree how enquiries and failed notifications are followed up.
Make launch a separate decision.
A Working builds, successful test or approved design is not public launch approval. Confirm the exact candidate, domain routing, access controls and intended indexing before activation.
After authorised launch, verify the live journey and establish a genuine measurement baseline. An enquiry starts a discussion. Scope, pricing and delivery are agreed with The Absurd Company before work begins.
Who maintains security after launch?
Before launch, agree who owns the domain, hosting, website code, updates and recovery. Ask for evidence that the deployed system is supported, that access can be recovered and that a backup can actually be restored. An HTTPS padlock or firewall does not prove that the application is patched. A static business website, a WordPress site and a custom application need different maintenance work. Ask us to include the appropriate handover and care responsibilities in your quotation.
Your questions, answered.
How do I request a quotation for this?
Describe the business, your current website and the visitor task in the homepage quotation request. An enquiry starts a discussion. Scope, pricing and delivery are agreed with The Absurd Company before work begins.
Is this included in a fixed package?
No fixed package is published. Pages, content, integrations, price, timing, taxes and payment terms are agreed in writing before work begins.
