REGIONAL WEBSITE PLANNING / JAMAICA
Make your service area clear before the enquiry.
Planning a website for a business in Portmore, Spanish Town or the wider St. Catherine area? Distinguish where the business is based from where it delivers, collects or carries out work.
A location name is not a service promise.
A customer needs to know whether your business can help at their location. State your real operating area, what happens outside it and when availability needs checking. Do not imply that a town landing page represents a staffed branch.
Use the same service description across the actual operating area. Add a separate local page only when its information changes the customer’s decision.
Write the coverage rules customers need.
Illustrative worksheet for your business; the examples are decisions to make, not delivery promises from The Absurd Company.
| Customer task | Decision to supply | Website consequence |
|---|---|---|
| Request work at a property | Communities covered and jobs requiring a location check. | Explain coverage before asking for an enquiry. |
| Collect an order | The real collection point, times and confirmation process. | Show collection instructions separately from delivery. |
| Arrange delivery | Areas, exclusions and who confirms any extra charge. | Keep an unconfirmed charge out of a fixed total. |
| Request help outside the area | Whether the team declines or assesses it individually. | Use honest wording instead of implying islandwide fulfilment. |
Keep an enquiry distinct from an online order.
A service website can explain scope and collect a quotation request. That does not require a checkout or a live delivery calculator.
If you need an online store, include product information, collection and delivery rules, payment requirements and who maintains them. Address checking, delivery pricing and inventory connections are separate requirements to assess, not assumed features.
Prepare a coverage-aware quotation request.
Tell us where your business operates, the customer action you want and the coverage rule most often misunderstood. Share an existing website if you have one.
Use an area name rather than customer addresses in the initial brief. Do not send customer records, passwords or payment details. Any travel or meeting requirement is agreed separately.
Your questions, answered.
Should Portmore and Spanish Town have separate versions of the same service page?
Usually one clear service-area explanation is more useful when the offer is the same. Separate them only when actual services, contact arrangements or fulfilment instructions differ.
Does requesting ecommerce include a delivery system?
No. List the areas and delivery rules you need. We assess checkout, delivery calculations and integrations separately and agree the scope in writing.
